Frequently Asked Questions

Learning about your furnace can help you keep issues with it to a minimum. Here are some basics of what you should know about the appliance.

Why does my furnace heat the first floor better than the second floor?

There are several potential reasons, including that hot air naturally rises. Another reason might be that your thermostat is on the first floor instead of having zoned heating. Ductwork problems and a clogged air filter are additional possible causes.

What does it mean if my furnace cycles on every few minutes?

This typically means that your furnace is short-cycling. Potential causes may include a clogged air filter, a malfunctioning thermostat, and a dirty flame sensor. It’s also possible that your furnace is too large for your home’s needs.

How can regular furnace maintenance improve comfort?

Regular maintenance promotes better indoor air quality and more consistent temperatures. It also helps create balanced humidity levels, which are particularly important during chilly, dry winters in Jersey. Ideally, indoor humidity levels should be between 30% and 50%.

“Delco Heating & Cooling are the best hvac and plumbers in New Jersey”

My hot water tank cracked last night and flooded my basement I called Delco Heating & Cooling because they fixed my air conditioning over the summer. The technician got here at 5pm and explained to me how although the crack is an area of in-repair he can schedule replacement Monday or check to see if they had my style hot water heater in their inventory and offered to replace it on the spot the same day and I was shocked that they would offer that level of service and I accepted and he had the replacement done by 10pm and was cleaned up and had the old hot water tank out of my home by 10:30 and me and my wife would recommend them to anyone literally
